Structure Description
- In this study, we found that piscicocin CS526, which possessed YGNGL sequence, had anti-Listeria activity typical of class IIa bacteriocins. Accordingly, the presence of Val7 within the YGNGV7 motif could not be a prerequisite for the antimicrobial activity of class IIa bacteriocins.
